Sell Gold - Sell gold jewelry for cash
Turn Your Gold Into Money

Sending and selling your items

What do I need to do to my jewelry before I send it?

Nothing. There is no need to clean or repair your jewelry. There is also
no need to try to remove stones from the jewelry. When calculating the value of your jewelry, the total weight (including stones) will be considered. A lot of buyers want you to remove stones or they will take them out and give them back to you. Now there are tons of people who have stones they cannot sell because the market is so flooded with people trying to sell stones from jewelry that they've sold.

What kind of jewelry can I send?

We buy your unwanted gold, silver and platinum. Please do not send
any costume jewelry (this is any jewelry that is wooden, plastic, glass, etc). Please do not send items that are gold filled or gold plated. Also do not send anything you may want back. Things with sentimental value
like your grandmother's wedding ring. Once you accept our offer your items are gone. Please read further down on this page under: About Gold, Silver and Platinum.

Do I need to weigh my jewelry?

No. Your jewelry will be verified, photographed, tested and weighed by professionals with state-of-the-art equipment.

How much gold jewelry actually equals an ounce of gold?

10 Karat gold jewelry is only 41.7 percent gold so it would take 2.4 ounces to make 1 ounce of pure gold. 14 Karat is 58.3 percent gold so it would take 1.714 ounces of jewelry to equal an ounce.

Why is everyone cashing in their gold now?

Gold is at a historically high price and even people who aren’t out of work see this great opportunity to cash in now by selling jewelry that they don’t wear anymore.

How much gold, silver or platinum can I send?

The more the better. We have volume pricing so you will get more per ounce if you send jewelry that ends up testing to be 6 ounces of pure gold as compared to jewelry that equals a half an ounce of pure gold.

How much difference is there in the price of gold and silver?

The difference is huge. For example, lets say on a given day the price of gold is $1,100.00 for one pure ounce. Silver on the same day may be $17.00 for one pure ounce. What does this mean for you? If you have some silver to send in, you would be wise to send in some gold with it or you may be getting a small check.

What happens if I accidentally send in items that test not to be gold, silver or platinum?

We are going to teach you what identifying markings to look for so this probably won't happen. But if it does, we will send those items back to you when we send your money for your other items.

About Gold, Silver and Platinum

If you can't see the markings on your jewelry, try using a magnifying glass. If you still can't see them, find the person in your family with the best eyes and have them call out the markings to you while using the magnifying glass.

Gold will be marked from 8kt to 24kt. For example: 18 karat Gold may be marked 18k, 18kt or 750. The 750 means it is 75 percent pure gold. Silver will be marked .925, .999, Silver, or Sterling. Platinum will be marked PLAT or .950.

Do not send items with the following markings: Gold Plated will be marked GP or EGP. Silver Plated either won't be marked at all or will be marked Silver Plated. Gold Filled will be marked 1/10 GF or 1/20 GF. These are general guidelines to go by.

Our state-of-the-art testing equipment will tell us exactly what metals are included in your pieces. Are all markings correct? Unfortunately they are not. Most of the time they are correct, but there are items that have been incorrectly marked. We have, for example, seen a piece of gold that was marked 14kt that was actually 10kt. If we test your gold and it is of a purity other than what
is stamped on the item, we will notify you immediately.

Shipping

How do I ship my jewelry to you?

Simply fill out the Gold Pak request form and the same day a Gold Pak will be put in the mail to you. You should receive it within 2 to 3 days depending on what part of the country you reside. When you receive your Gold Pak, inside you will find a direction sheet with a cut out form, another envelope with postage and $100.00 worth of insurance pre-paid and a sealable plastic bag. Just follow the directions on the sheet by placing your jewelry in the bag. Once you’ve sealed it, put it inside the other bag and take it to your local post office. Never put valuables in the mail box out side your house. If you feel your items are worth more than $100.00 you may purchase very reasonable additional insurance at the post office.

What if I want to get paid sooner by shipping my jewelry today?

Simply put your jewelry in a sealable type plastic bag so small items won't become lost. List on a piece of paper the items you are sending along with your name, address, phone number, email and drivers license number or government ID number. Take this to
your local post office where you can put it inside of one of their secure mailing envelopes. Tell the clerk how much insurance you would like to purchase and then you will pay to ship it to: Processing Center, PO Box 1650 Hickory, NC 28602. In most cases it only costs $4.00 - $6.00 depending on the weight, how far you're shipping the package and how much insurance you need. We will reimburse the shipping cost when we pay you for your jewelry.

How long does it take for you to evaluate my jewelry and contact me with the dollar amount it is worth?

You will be contacted by us within 24 hours of us receiving your package.

Payment Info

How long will it take for me to get paid?

Be sure to supply us with your email address. We will email you letting you know what your jewelry is worth. If you absolutely don’t have access to the internet, we will call you with that amount. You will be asked some questions to confirm your identity. This phone call may be recorded. Normally as soon as you email us back with your acceptance, we will mail your check that same day. An example reply from a customer would be: Dear Turn Your Gold Into Money, I accept the amount of $259.36 for my jewelry.
Sincerely, John Doe
